[holding answer 4 March 1999]: A key outcome of the Strategic Defence Review was a widespread recognition of the need for an Armed Forces Overarching Personnel Strategy. We are currently developing this important strategy, which will be a major contribution to improving the joint environment in which the Armed Forces will increasingly work. We will keep the House fully informed as this work matures.
