§ Janet AndersonWe have received a number of representations from the London Borough of Waltham Forest seeking the Department's support for the Borough's plans to mark the centenary of Alfred Hitchcock's birth. Although the Department will not be directly involved, I understand that the British Film Institute will shortly be announcing wide ranging plans to celebrate the life and work of Sir Alfred Hitchcock.
