The Solicitor-GeneralIn the year to the end of February 1999, the Serious Fraud Office concluded 20 trials involving 38 defendants. In 19 of these trials, at least one defendant was convicted, usually the principal defendant. Of the 38 defendants, a total of 32 were convicted.
