§ Mr. SwayneTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the cost of providing higher education for the non-British EU undergraduate students who studied at Scottish higher education institutions in 1996–97; and out of which departmental budget it was paid. [75003]
§ Mrs. Liddell[holding answer 5 March 1999]: Institutions are funded through a number of block grants from the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council following allocation of grant from The Scottish Office.
