308WThe number of individual Standards Fund grants (previously Grants for Education Support and Training) fully funded by the Government has increased from two under Grants for Education Support and Training in 1996–97 to nine so far allocated under the Standards Fund for 1999–2000. The Government's contribution has increased from £163 million to £493 million over the same period.
