§ Mr. GalbraithFollowing the Comprehensive Spending Review, an additional investment of £1.8 billion is being made in the NHS in Scotland over the next three years. This will give cash growth over the original planned expenditure in 1998–99 of £300 million in 1999–2000, £590 million in 2000–01 and £910 million in 2001–02 or annual cash growth of £300/290/320 million respectively. The additional funding has been distributed as follows:
