§ 24. Ms Lawrence
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what plans he has to increase public investment over the next three years.
§ 30. Mr. Laxton
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received on his plans for increasing public investment over the next three years.
§ Mr. Milburn
My right hon. Friend receives representations from many organisations and individuals about public investment, which is set to rise over the next three years from £4.3 billion net in 1998–99 to £10.8 billion in 2001–02. This extra investment will help reverse the decline in net wealth and deliver improved public services in health and education.
