The Attorney-GeneralThe total number of applicants for the posts of Chief Crown Prosecutor was 209, of which:
- (a)148 were from the Crown Prosecution Service;
- (b)22 applicants were from solicitors in private practice;
- (c)13 applicants were from banisters in private practice.
The remaining 26 applicants came from a variety of sources not included in the categories above.
