To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what the terms of reference are for Lord Donaldson's report on the future of coastguard stations; when Lord Donaldson was asked to advise his Department; when the report will be completed; and if it will be made available to the public. Lord Donaldson's Terms of Reference were set by agreement with the Trade Unions and management of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

Lord Donaldson accepted the Terms of Reference in early May and he will reply to the Deputy Prime Minister as soon as possible.
