Friend the Member for Stalybridge and Hyde (Mr. Pendry) on 17 June 1999,Official Report, columns 196–97. This information includes numbers of officials accompanying me and the total cost. During this period, my Chief of Staff travelled 483W overseas without me on four occasions at an average cost of £375 per visit; my Chief Press Secretary made no such visits.
