§ Mr. Macdonald[holding answer 25 May 1999]: Information about budgeted school running costs is given in "Scottish Schools: Costs 1996/97 to 1998/99" published by the Audit Unit of HM Inspectors of Schools, which is available in the House of Commons Library. Information for the current financial year is not yet available.
From 1 July 1999, this will be a matter for the Scottish Parliament.
