To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans he has to improve NHS dental services in Cornwall. [85008]

Mr. Denham

The first wave of Personal Dental Services, which started in October 1998, included a new service in Cornwall. This service enables anyone who is not registered with a National Health Service dentist to get treatment for their dental problems.

Ten Investing in Dentistry funding requests have also been approved giving over 33,000 patients the opportunity of registering with an NHS dentist.
