§ Janet AndersonBBC Wales and S4C analogue broadcasts presently reach 97.6 per cent. of the population of Wales. The nine Welsh transmitter sites in the launch phase for digital terrestrial television will deliver BBC services to 70 per cent. of the population and S4C services to 63 per cent. BBC and S4C also broadcast their services on digital satellite, and will broadcast on digital cable when available. The BBC, ITC and the digital broadcasters are now considering plans for the further development of digital terrestrial television across the UK.
