To ask the Secretary of State for Health how the Code of Practice on Openness in the NHS is distributed and made accessible to the general public; and if he will make a statement. [92037]

A leaflet for the public which summarises the Code of Practice on Openness in the National Health Service is widely available on NHS premises and in general practitioners' surgeries.

Copies of the Code of Practice on Openness itself are available to any member of the public, on request from the Department or any NHS trust or health authority.
