§ The Minister of State, Home Office (Lord Williams of Mostyn)The Home Office Working Party on Electoral Procedures recently published a summary of its recommendations. These include the running of 97WA pilot schemes at local election level to test alternative ways of voting. Electronic voting could be included and its cost effectiveness and efficiency would be assessed before consideration was given to using it more widely.
