The Women's Unit has produced the following(a) Reports and Guidance

  • National Childcare Strategy (with Department for Education and Employment) May 1998
  • Policy Appraisal for equal treatment, (with the Home Office and DfEE) on 9 November 1999
  • Delivering for women: Progress so far, on 9 November 1998
  • 4th Report of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women, on 15 January 1999
(b) Research
  • Tackling violence against women, on 9 November 1998
  • Researching Women's Attitudes, on 9 November 1998
  • Women's Individual Income (with Government Statistical Services, and Department of Social Security Analytical Services Division), on 26 March 1999
  • Women's attitudes to combining paid work and family life, on 31 March 1999
  • Citizens' Juries: An appraisal of their role based on the conduct of two women only jurie, on 31 March 1999
  • Relationship Breakdown: a Guide for Social Landlords (with Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions and Department of Health), on 18 May 1999
  • Living Without Fear: An integrated approach to tackling violence against women, on 30 June 1999.

The reports and research have all been published. The Women's Unit has also contributed to a wide range of other Government publications and reports.
