To ask the Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department what percentage of statutory instruments introduced by his Department into Parliament in(a) 1998, (b) 1992, (c) 1985 and (d) 1973 had the European Union as their legislative source. [89173]

Of statutory instruments (SIs) introduced by my Department in 1998, 1992, 1985 and 1973, one in 1985 included amendments to rules of court resulting from legislation implementing the Brussels Convention. Otherwise, no SIs were made by my Department in the specified years to comply with European Community obligations.
