§ Mr. Andrew SmithAll employers are encouraged to take on young people under the New Deal and we have made strong progress in engaging employers nationally and locally. We also recognise the importance of the four New Deal options. Under the Environment Task Force option, two of the key environmental objectives to improve the physical condition and energy efficiency of buildings and to conserve energy through the promotion of energy efficient schemes.
