§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Walking Steering Group completed a report late last year. The Government are grateful to the Group for the work that they put into producing this document. We are committed to encouraging walking as part of our policy of reducing dependency upon the private motor car and we will be publishing a Government strategy statement shortly.
