§ Mr. Denham1,194 people were waiting 12 months or more for hospital treatment at the Mid Essex Hospital National Health Service Trust at the end of November 1998. The number of people waiting 13 to 25 weeks to see a consultant was 1,596 at the end of September 1998; the number of people waiting over 26 weeks was 341 at the end of September 1998.
