To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many students on nursing and midwifery degree courses are in receipt of disabled students' allowances; and what proportion they are of the total number of students on nursing and midwifery degree courses. [70435]

Of those students sponsored by the National Health Service, 3 or 0.2 per cent. currently receive disability allowances. Information on other publicly funded students is a matter for my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Education and Employment.
