§ Mr. McLeish[holding answer 25 January 1999]: The conduct of elections for the Scottish Parliament will be governed by an Order which will be made under section 587W 12(1) of the Scotland Act, which will be laid before the House next month. In relation to broadcasting, we intend that the Order will make similar provision to section 92 of the Representation of the People Act 1983. We are currently seeking comments on whether or not a provision modelled on section 93 of that Act should also be included.
