To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will list the five worst accident blackspots on the Al2 in Essex. [101847]

[holding answer 7 December 1999]: I have asked the Chief Executive of the Highways Agency, Mr. Peter Nutt, to write to the hon. Member.

Letter from Peter Nutt to Mr. Bernard Jenkin, dated 13 December 1999: The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Keith Hill, has asked me to write in response to your recent written Parliament Question about the five worst accident black spots on the Al2 in Essex. The following table lists the sites which have the highest level of recorded personal injury accidents over the 3 years ending June 1999.
