§ Clare ShortWe are providing £14 million over the next five years to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) to help develop an AIDS vaccine which is safe, effective and affordable for developing countries. This is additional to our earlier grant of £200,000 made in 1998, and supplements our existing work with the UK Medical Research Council and the European Commission.
