§ Helen Jones
To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list, by region, those NHS trusts which have implemented anti-bullying policies.
§ Mr. Denham
[holding answer 2 December 1999]: Bullying of staff, in whatever form it may take, is unacceptable and should not be tolerated by any National Health Service employer. Information on local anti-bullying policies is not collected centrally, but may be obtained from individual National Health Service employers.
The National Health Service depends on the skill and dedication of its staff. Providing staff with a good, safe working environment free from discrimination and harassment is a key priority for local managers.
