To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many young adults started drug treatment in each local authority area in Wales in each of the past 10 years. [81334]

Reliable information on the number of young adults starting drug treatment in Wales is not currently available. Some data are obtained on a voluntary basis by the Welsh Drug and Alcohol Unit although coverage is incomplete. The arrangements for collecting data in this area are currently under review.

Following the transfer of functions, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly.
