HL Deb 22 April 1999 vol 599 c166WA
Lord Patten

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to the Written Answer by Lord Whitty on 13 April (WA112), what is their target for the reduction in the number of those sleeping rough in the Victoria rough sleeping zone in (a) six months' time and (b) 12 months. [HL2023]

Lord Whitty

No intermediate targets have been set for reductions in the numbers of people sleeping rough in specific areas of London. We are working towards the main target of reducing the level of rough sleeping to as near zero as possible and of achieving at least a two-thirds reduction in the level of rough sleeping across England by March 2002.
