However, the following table shows the number of mixed Key Stage classes in primary schools in January 1999. This will include some mixed Key Stage Two and Key Stage Three classes. The proportion of pupils in mixed year classes has fallen in primary schools from 27 per cent. in 1998 to 26 per cent. in 1999.
