To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make it his policy not to permit the storage of nuclear waste at Trecwn in Pembrokeshire. [80173]

I understand that no application has been made to store nuclear waste at Trecwn. If one were, it would be fully considered on its facts, and against the background of representations from interested parties.

The Secretary of State for Wales' responsibilities in this area are shortly to transfer to the National Assembly for Wales.
