To ask the Prime Minister if it is the Government's policy to accept the latest recommendations of the Committee on Standards in Public Life; and if he will make a statement. [55758]

§ The Prime Minister
The Government strongly welcome the Committee's report on the funding of political parties in the United Kingdom which was published on 13 October. We intend to legislate on the main findings of the report so that robust and rigorous 1171W rules governing the funding of political parties can be in place before the next general election. To that end, my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary will publish a draft Bill before next year's summer recess.
