§ Mr. George Robertson[holding answer 24 July 1998]: The 48 nuclear warheads deployed on each Trident submarine will have an explosive power one third less than the 32 warheads carried on each Polaris submarine under the Chevaline modification. Details of the explosive yield of our Trident warheads are covered by Exemption 2 of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information.
