§ Mr. RookerSchedule 6 of the draft Pig Artificial Insemination Regulations sets out revised controls on the unlicensed supply of porcine semen. The proposed controls would be more stringent than those currently in place. The Schedule received mixed reactions from the Industry at consultation and will be considered further when work on the draft Regulations is resumed.

§ Mr. RookerThe review of the Artificial Insemination of Pigs Regulations was suspended on 14 April in order to allow the temporary re-deployment of staff to work on the lifting of the EC beef export ban. The work has not yet been resumed.
