§ Mr. MealeAs indicated in "UK Climate Change Programme—Consultation Paper", the Government are exploring with the energy industry and others the possibility of promoting energy efficiency through a new standards of performance scheme. Discussions will include consumers', energy efficiency and environmental organisations. I have placed in the Library a copy of the discussion note on the issues circulated to the industry and others.
