In England, the current Assisted Areas map in coastal areas covers part or all of the coasts of the following counties or former counties: Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, Cleveland, North Yorkshire, Humberside, Lincolnshire, Norfolk, Essex, Kent, East Sussex, the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. In Wales, the current coverage includes part or all of the coasts of the following unitary authorities: Newport, Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Denbighshire and Flintshire. In Scotland the coverage includes part or all of the coasts of the following unitary authorities: Dumfries and Galloway, South Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, Inverclyde, Argyll and Bute, Highland, the Western Isles, Moray, Angus, Fife.
