To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he last made an official visit to Turkey; and if he will list those people with whom he held discussions on his visit. [58593]

I visited Turkey between 14 and 16 September 1998 at the invitation of the Turkish Defence Minister, with whom I held discussions. I also made office calls on the Turkish Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary.
