Mr. Worthington

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what representations he has received about the working of the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) Act 1997. [58413]

Mr. Timms

Since the Social Security (Recovery of Benefits) Act came into force on 6 October 1998, we have received a total of 168 representations about the working of the scheme. The majority concern individuals making representations about the way the scheme has affected their compensation payment.
