§ Mr. RaynsfordResearch carried out by the publishers of the Municipal Year Book in the summer indicates that approximately 26 per cent. of councillors in the UK are female.
The replies to the letters to local authorities to which my right hon. Friend refers are not held by this Department. The question of these being placed in the Library is a matter for the Minister for Women and I have asked her to write to my right hon. Friend on this subject.
