From 1998–99 the LVO scheme was replaced by the Local Mental Health Grants Scheme which is administered on behalf of the Welsh Office by the Wales Council for Voluntary Action. Grant awards to local MIND groups are project based and cover a number of activities including drop-in facilities; befriending services; provision of supported accommodation and advocacy services
