§ Mr. Hoon[holding answer 5 February 1998]: The total expenditure on travel by Ministers in my Department for these periods is as follows:
- 1995–96: £46.159
- 1996–97: £50,801
- 1997–98: £29,434.
To separate the figure for overseas travel expenditure from the overall cost of ministerial travel could be done only at a disproportionate cost.
