§ Dr. Howells[holding answer 5 February 1998]: Details of items stolen or lost from this Department since 1 May 1997 which have been reported for recording in the losses register are as follows:

As a result guidance has been issued by the Director of PSSD to all staff on increased vigilance in the safeguarding of assets. If the thefts continue, further security measures will be considered.
