§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Government are currently reviewing all aspects of transport policy as part of their commitment towards developing an integrated transport policy. One issue being addressed is whether to make greater use of the price mechanism, for instance through road user charging, to influence travel choice. The forthcoming Transport White Paper will set out our conclusions on this issue in the context of our overall objectives towards a sustainable transport system.
