§ Ms Quin[holding answer 8 June 1998]: There are currently 66 prisons that provide a creche facility on either a full or part-time basis.
Fifteen prisons provide family rooms for use by visitors, but most prisons will provide a room if a requirement is recognised. The Prison Service is about to embark on a review of visiting arrangements with a view to promulgating best practice.
