§ Mr. MilburnThere are currently no mechanisms within the data collection systems in England which allow hospital operations to be linked to individual patients. We are, however, discussing with the professions how we might get better information on the outcome of primary hip replacement operations. The table shows the number of primary and revision hip replacement operations carried out in England since 1990–91.
Information about hip operations in Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
