§ Mr. DenhamAn announcement was made on 19 May 1998,Official Report, column 358, that the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme will be considered as part of the overall review of welfare which includes disability benefits, in consultation with the Department of Health. Also, at the same time it was announced that the intention is to increase the current payment of £30,000 to £40,000, as soon as Parliamentary approval can be obtained.
