§ Mr. MeacherA further list of UK proposals was sent to the European Commission on 12 June. This consists of 14 new candidate Special Areas of Conservation, boundary extensions to 8 existing sites already submitted to the Commission as candidate SACs and the addition of further qualifying interests on one candidate SAC. I am pleased to be able to reaffirm the UK's commitment to the Natura 2000 process by announcing the submission of this further list of sites during the UK Presidency.
