To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will list the public bodies which it is proposed to reorganise to make their boundaries coterminous with those of the Government Offices of the Regions.[44224]

Of bodies within my Department's area of responsibility, the regional office structure of English Partnerships is being reorganised to match the boundaries of the Government Offices for the Regions, in order to facilitate the transfer of functions from English Partnerships to Regional Development Agencies in April 1999. There will similarly be some reorganisation of the regional office structure of the Rural Development Commission.
