§ Mr. RookerNo. The Fresh Meat (Beef Controls) (No 2) Regulations 1996, as amended, prohibit the sale for human consumption of any meat from a bovine animal over 30 months of age at the time of slaughter, whether in Great Britain or elsewhere, unless it is from a herd registered under the Beef Assurance Scheme or from one of the 14 countries exempted under the Regulations.
