§ Dr. ReidOn 1 June 1998, 24 Sea Harriers, 51 Lynx and 83 Sea King aircraft were allocated to front line Fleet Air Arm Units. The number fully serviceable were 20, 43 and 66 respectively. Those undergoing major maintenance were 4, 7 and 13 respectively, and these, together with 2 additional Lynx, form the In Use Reserves.
