§ Mr. Chris Smith[holding answer 27 July 1998]: During the last few months my Department has received a number of letters on this subject, largely focusing on the issue of funding. I am concerned that talented students should have access to the best possible training and my Department is presently working in conjunction with DfEE to establish a long term solution, to be in place when the Arts Council of England's Interim Funding Scheme expires.
