To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many Territorial Army battalions and regiments are commanded by(a) TA commanding officers and (b) regular army commanding officers, broken down by arm and service, and what were the figures (i) one, (ii) two and (iii) three years ago. [53257]

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what effect the implementation of the Strategic Defence Review will have upon the number of Territorial Army soldiers(a) serving in Norfolk and (b) based in Norwich. [53182]

Following the announcement of the results of the Strategic Defence Review, work has now commenced to establish the future organisation and structure of the Territorial Army. It is too early to say how this work will affect the numbers of TA soldiers serving in any particular area, but we expect to be in a position to make detailed announcements during the Autumn.
